The Neighborhood
Scott’s Addition is one of Richmond’s most fascinating neighborhood success stories.
Traditionally, Scott’s Addition acted as one of Richmond’s primary industrial neighborhoods, serving as home base for many of RVA’s most well known businesses.
Its strategic location at the intersection of the Fan District, Museum District, Interstate 95 and Downtown Expressway, as well as the Diamond, made its highest and best use in the new world far better suited as a walkable residential neighborhood.
Since receiving its historic designation in the late 2000s, Scott’s Addition has undergone one of the most rapid transformation of any neighborhood in the history of Richmond and now serves as home to some of the most notable residential, office, and retail projects in the area.
The Diamond District
After decades of back and forth and failed attempts at revitalizing the 60+ acres that surrounded Richmond’s 40 year old baseball stadium, the newly formed Diamond District is finally a go.
Hook and Ladder’s location in the NE corner of Scott’s Addition brings the Diamond District and new stadium within a close walk and even offers panoramic stadium views from several of the units.
When completed:
- 60+ acres / $2.4B of investment
- More than 1,000 new apartments
- 100 condos
- A 180-room hotel
- 58,000 square feet of new retail
- 1,700 garage parking spaces
- And an 11-acre park, plaza, and skate park
